Victoria Day means friendly ‘get-togethers’ and a list of closures. Here are a few things that will be open and closed in Yellowknife on May 22nd.

Open:

  • Certain convenience stores (Reddi-Mart downtown will be open, we’ve been told Village Reddi-Mart will be closed)
  • Yellowknife Airport
  • Department and grocery stores
  • Most restaurants and fast food joints

*Compost collection will run on schedule

*Spring clean up (May 20-28) will remain on schedule

Closed:

  • Banks
  • Liquor stores
  • City buildings
  • Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre
  • Yellowknife transit

Enjoy the long weekend! (Unless you work, then in that case, try not to wallow in self-pity TOO much.)
