Yellowknife celebrating Halloween with swimming, skating, and pumpkins

The City of Yellowknife will be holding a number of events for all ages this Halloween weekend.

The Halloween Skate event will be taking place at the Ed Jeske Arena in the Yellowknife Multiplex on October 30 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

The family friendly event will feature live music, treats, and Halloween fun. Costumes are encouraged, and attendees will need to bring their own skates.

The event is free for all participants.

The city will also be holding a Halloween Swim at the ATCO Aquatic Centre on Halloween, October 31, from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

The event will also have free candies and Halloween-themed music, as well as floats for attendees to play on and relax with.

A public swim fee or Flexipass is required for participants.

Finally, the city is encouraging residents to bring their carved pumpkins to Frame Lake Trail near the Jumpstart Playground from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on November 1 and 2 for their Pumpkin Lane event.

Candles and supplies will be available at the welcome tent, with volunteers who will be able to assist participants if needed.

Everyone is welcome to bring a pumpkin or simply come down to enjoy the display.
