Ptarmicon Movie Knight this weekend

Yellowknife gaming group Ptarmicon will be holding Ptarmicon Movie Knight this weekend to help raise funds for their Ptarmicon 2026 convention this summer.

The movie that will be shown is Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

There will also be a Star Wars costume contest, with the winners at each showing receiving a pair of weekend passes to Ptarmicon 2026.

“We are excited to welcome back a group of costumers who express their fandom through cosplaying for A Galaxy Far, Far, Away,” said Reigh Foster, treasurer at Ptarmicon.

The event will be held at Northern United Place on June 6, with showings at 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $12 for children, purchased at the door. Concessions will also be available, sold by King of the Kastle.

Funds raised at this event will go towards Ptarmicon 2026’s ‘special cosplay guests’, who have yet to be revealed.
