Trade Show Carnaval South Slave coming to Hay River

The Conseil de développement économique des Territoires du Nord-Ouest have announced the first Trade Show Carnaval South Slave this month.

The free event will give South Slave businesses, entrepreneurs, artists, and organizations the opportunity to showcase themselves to the public ahead of the holiday season.

“As the economy continues to recover, micro-businesses, SMEs and community organizations in the NWT face common challenges: limited visibility, limited access to markets and few local networking opportunities,” said CDETNO on their website.

The showcase will provide an accessible, inclusive, and welcoming environment for local initiatives, and give residents the opportunity to buy local goods and support community organizations.

Roughly 30 booths are planned to be featured at the event, ranging from arts, food, services, crafts, technology, and more. Attendees will be able to discover local products, buy directly from exhibitors, and participate in prize draws.

Those who wish to participate in the trade show, which is open to all South Slave entrepreneurs, merchants and organizations, have until November 15 to apply. More information is available at CDETNO’s website.

The Trade Show Carnaval South Slave will be open to the public from 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm on November 21 at the Princess Alexandra School gym in Hay River.
