New partnership expands heavy equipment rentals in the North

The Det’on Cho Group of Companies and Finning Canada have announced a collaboration to expand heavy equipment rentals in the Northwest Territories.

As demand for major infrastructure construction and remediation work grows, this partnership will allow easier access to the equipment necessary for these projects.

“This collaboration is an important opportunity to strengthen access to heavy equipment in the North while creating opportunities for Indigenous participation and economic development,” said Mark Lewis, President and CEO of the Det’on Cho Group of Companies.

“Working with Det’on Cho lets us pair our rental and service capabilities with their local knowledge and relationships. We look forward to growing it together,” said Lyall Megaw, Vice President of Rentals at Finning Canada.

In the long term, the groups plan to create a permanent equipment rental and service hub, and to expand the range of equipment available.

Equipment rentals are available at Finning’s Yellowknife location at 111 Nahanni Drive, and more information about what is available can be found at their website.
