Yellowknife to host EV Fleet Management conference

The City of Yellowknife has announced that they will be hosting an EV Fleet Management Conference for organizations in the North.

This conference is intended for groups that own, lease, manage, or procure light-duty vehicle fleets, who are considering if a switch to electric vehicles would be a good fit for them and their fleets.

“Fleet decisions represent a significant investment for organizations, particularly in northern communities where operating conditions are unique,” said Director of Planning and Development Charlsey White.

Participants will be able to hear from groups that already run EV fleets in the North and learn from their experiences and insights.

A guided visit to an EV charging station will also give participants a chance to see electrical vehicle infrastructure in action.

“The City’s role is to create opportunities for organizations to learn from real-world experience so they can make informed decisions based on their operational needs,” said White.

The conference will be held at the Explorer Hotel from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm on October 6. Organizations have until September 21 to register up to three attendees for the conference.
