NTHSSA finds success with their ‘52 Improvements in 52 Weeks’ initiative

The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority has completed their ‘52 Improvements in 52 Weeks’ initiative, a campaign focused on making small but meaningful changes throughout the organization.

Since July of last year, NTHSSA staff have implemented numerous changes with the goal of enhancing the experiences of clients and employees, from workflow improvements to wayfinding enhancements.

“This initiative has demonstrated staff’s strong commitment to enhancing the care residents receive across the organization, and the work they have done has been thoughtful and focused on ensuring continuous improvement in both staff and client experience,” said Dan Florizone, Public Administrator at the NTHSSA.

These efforts have succeeded in streamlining day-to-day operations, improved the NTHSSA’s effectiveness across multiple regions, and enhanced the experience for both visitors and employees.

By giving their staff the power to identify issues and implement practical solutions, NTHSSA says they are creating a culture that fosters continuous improvement, and they plan on allowing staff to continue building on this momentum.

More detailed information about some of the improvements can be found at the NTHSSA’s website.
