Behchokǫ̀ residents asked to conserve water

The Tłı̨chǫ government is asking Behchokǫ̀ residents to conserve water due to low water levels in the region, effective immediately.

Water deliveries to Rae, Edzo, and Frank Channel will be limited to Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and no deliveries will be made on other days of the week.

The public notice said that this measure is due to extreme climate conditions and infrastructure challenges, in addition to water levels.

No end date to this notice has been announced at this time.
