First wave of Folk on the Rocks artists announced

The first wave of artists for this year’s Folk on the Rocks festival has been announced.

This year’s festival is bringing together an exciting collection of performers from across the North and beyond for the greatest party under the midnight sun.

With artists from across the spectrum of musical genres, from boundary-pushing indie to soulful songwriters and powerful cultural performances, Folk on the Rocks says this year’s festival lineup is going to be one of their most dynamic ever.

The artists from the first wave are Aysanabee, Bella Beats, Dumb Crush, Janky Bugang, Justine Giles, Marrow Bones, NorthWords NWT Storytime, Northwyne, The OBGMs, R.A.S.K.L, Robert Adam, Rock The Arts Puppet, Scott Cook and Pamela Mae, Taiga Yoga, Virgo Rising, and Yellowknives Dene Drummers.

Alongside music, the festival grounds will also be filled with local food vendors, artisans, and community organizers.

The second and third waves of performers are scheduled to be announced April 3 and May 15. The festival will run from July 17 to 19, and you can find more information on all performers on the Folk on the Rocks website.
