Fort Providence RCMP arrest suspects in connection to armed home invasion

Fort Providence RCMP has charged four people as a result of an investigation into a home invasion that occurred late last month.

On February 25, shortly past 11am, police received a report that four masked individuals, one in possession of a rifle, had entered a home looking for a person who was not present.

The incident reportedly occurred the day prior but was not reported to police till the next day.

Police launched an investigation and were able to identify four suspects. These suspects were arrested over the following weeks.

Police believe that this incident may be connected to the illicit drug trade in Fort Providence. The matter remains under investigation.
