Jason Snaggs named Tłı̨chǫ Executive Officer

The Tłı̨chǫ Government has announced that the new Tłı̨chǫ Executive Officer will be Jason Snaggs.

The Executive Officer is the leader of the administration and works to implement the decisions of the Tłı̨chǫ Assembly and the Chiefs Executive Council.

“The TEO has an important responsibility in supporting our government as we exercise our rights, implement the Tłı̨chǫ Agreement, and advance the priorities of Tłı̨chǫ Citizens,” said Grand Chief Jackson Lafferty.

With experience in public administration, leadership, and service to northern communities, Snaggs will work with Tłı̨chǫ leadership and senior management to support a strong and accountable government and deliver programs and services to Tłı̨chǫ Citizens and communities.

“We look forward to working with Jason as he takes on this role,” said Lafferty.

The Tłı̨chǫ Government is also extending their thanks to the previous TEO Laura Duncan, who returned to the role in January of 2025.

“On behalf of the Tłı̨chǫ Government, I offer our sincere gratitude to Laura for everything she has contributed to our government and our Nation,” said Lafferty.
