The Northwest Territories Health Authority has announced that the Fort Simpson Health Centre has reopened on Wednesday resuming full operations following wildfire evacuations in late June.
On Monday, the health centre was opened for mental health and wellness supports which continue with the Red Cross onsite.
After evacuating their community more than three weeks ago, Łı́ı́dlı̨ı̨ Kų́ę́ and Fort Simpson evacuees began returning to the community this weekend. An evacuation alert remains in place.
An evacuation order remains in effect for Wrigley, with the community closing in on one month of evacuation.
The health authority said more information on service levels is being made available on their GNWT’s evacuees services webpages.
The latest updates can be found on the communities’ facebook sites and GNWT’s health and social services authority and public safety pages.
