Hay River implements full fire ban

Due to high risks of wildfires, the Town of Hay River has implemented a full fire ban for the community, effective as of July 15.

This ban prohibits any and all open fires, including campfires, firepits, or burn barrels, as well as other possible sources of fire such as fireworks.

No fire permits will be issued during this time as well.

Information on when the ban will be lifted will be posted on the Town of Hay River’s website and their Facebook page.
